Our Milestones

Year 2012

North South Power was incorporated as a limited liability company to own and operate a diverse and growing portfolio of electricity generation

Year 2013

North South Power entered and won a competitive bid process for a 30 year concession of Shiroro Hydroelectric Plant.

Year 2015

North South Power incorporated Shiroro Solar Generating Company Limited to execute its 300MW solar power plant.

Year 2016

North South Power’s PPA was activated with NBET PLC, North South Power achieved key terms of Performance Agreement with BPE, 30 months before target date.

Year 2017

North South Power won a 25 year concession of the 30MW Gurara hydroelectric power plant in Kaduna state, taking its total generating capacity to 630MW.

Year 2019

North South Power is currently responsible for 8% of Nigeria’s Power Generation and has a target to generate over 10% of Nigeria’s power by 2020.
